§ 13-39. Powers of arrest

Members of the auxiliary police unit shall have the same power of arrest as a regular officer. This power may not be exercised unless the auxiliary officer is on active duty. No auxiliary officer shall have the powers of arrest unless and until such auxiliary officer is placed on duty by the chief of police or his designee.
