§ 14-52. Removal of oil, grease, etc., from sidewalks

  • The tenant or occupant, whether the owner thereof or not, of any building bordering on any street in the town where there is a sidewalk abutting shall keep the portion of such sidewalk in front of and adjoining such building clean and free of all accumulation of oil, grease and other similar substances. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to keep such portion of such sidewalk free and clear of such substances or fail to remove the same when accumulated so that such sidewalks shall at all times be safe and unimpeded for pedestrians.
