§ 14-69. Bond or cash deposit

The town may require as a prerequisite to the issuance of a permit that a satisfactory bond be filed or a cash deposit be made to cover the cost of replacing such street or sidewalk in as good condition in all respects as before excavating. Such estimated cost shall be furnished by the town, the amount to be based on the extent of the proposed opening, cut or excavation, character of paving, etc., estimated per square yard.
