§ 17-26. Right of entry by officers or agents of department; fraudulent use or waste of water

The proper officers of the department of water and sewerage and their agents and assistants may enter the premises of any water taker or user, at any reasonable time, in order to examine the pipes and fixtures, the quantity of water used, and the manner of its use, and in case of fraudulent use of town water on the part of any water taker, or unnecessary waste of water, the supply of such water may be stopped.
