§ 17-44. Notice before shutting off water

Should it become necessary to shut off water from any section of the town because of accidents or for the purpose of making changes or repairs, the department of water and sewerage will endeavor to give timely notice to consumers affected thereby, and will, so far as practicable, use its best efforts to prevent inconvenience and damage arising from any such cause, but failure to give such notice will not render the town or the department responsible or liable for damages that may result therefrom, or from any other cause.
