§ 19-325. Corner lots

  • (a) A corner lot is a lot which occupies the interior angle at the intersection of two (2) street lines which make an angle of more than forty-five (45) degrees and less than one hundred thirty-five (135) degrees with each other. The street line forming the least frontage shall be deemed the front of the lot except where the two (2) street lines are equal, in which case the owner shall be required to specify same when requesting a building permit.

    (b) For side yards on corner lots where there is a residential use, the minimum width of the side yard along an intersecting street shall be at least ten (10) feet which will apply in all zones within the Town of Kure Beach, except in cases of reverse corner lots which face an intersecting street the side yard on the street side of such reversed corner lots shall have a width of not less than fifty (50) percent of the front yard depth required on lots in the rear of such reversed corner lot.
