§ 5-162. Bond

  • The building inspector may require, as a prerequisite to the issuance of a permit pursuant to an application filed as provided in this article, that a satisfactory bond be filed, conditioned, among other things, that the permittee will pay any and all damages which may happen to any or all public and/or private property by such house mover, his agents, employees or workmen; and conditioned, that such permittee will save and indemnify and keep harmless the town against all liabilities, judgments, costs and expense which may in any way accrue against the town in consequence of the granting of such permit, and that such permittee will in all things strictly comply with the terms and conditions of his permit. In addition, the house mover will be required to have adequate liability insurance.
