Upon a determination that such conditions constituting a public nuisance exist, as
specified in subsections 11-16(2), (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7), the building inspector
shall notify, in writing, the owner, occupant, or person in possession of the premises
in question of the conditions constituting such public nuisance and shall order the
prompt abatement thereof within fifteen (15) days from the receipt of such written
notice.
Upon a determination that such conditions constituting a public nuisance exist as
defined in subsection 11-16(1) and given the fact that weeds and grass continue to
grow at a rapid rate at certain times of the year, the building inspector shall in
the spring of the year notify, in writing, the owner of the premises in question of
the conditions constituting such public nuisance and shall order the prompt and continuous
abatement thereof which shall be the responsibility of the owner thereof to keep and
maintain his property in compliance with existing public health and safety regulations
throughout the year. No further notice for the year shall be required.
